The Managing Board of Papers in Physics expands
With the goal of strengthening Papers in Physics across all fronts: attracting higher-quality submissions, increasing visibility, developing partnerships, and updating editorial processes and policies. The Managing Board of the journal has been renewed and will keep evolving along this year.
Meet the newly appointed Managing Editors!
- Carla Hermann Avigliano (Chile)
Carla is a Chilean physicist specialized in experimental and theoretical Quantum Optics, Quantum state engineering, Nonlinear physics, Squeezed light generation and Quantum Metrology. She is a Professor at the University of Chile in Santiago, as well as a member of the Millennium Institute for Research in Optics (MIRO) and the Optics Group at the same institution.
- Silvina Limandri (Argentina)
Silvina is an Independent Researcher at CONICET and Adjunct Professor at FAMAF, Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Argentina. Her main area of expertise is atomic spectroscopy and complementary analytical techniques used in fundamental physics and materials research.
- Etera Livine (France)
Etera is a researcher in theoretical and mathematical physics, with a specific focus on gravitational physics, both classical and quantum, and a keen interest in quantum information, working at the Physics Lab of the ENS Lyon in France as a Directeur de Recherche CNRS and team leader of the theoretical physics group, as well as affiliated to the Perimeter Institute in Canada. He is also a founding member and the current Secretary of the International Society for Quantum Gravity.
- Mildred Quintana Ruiz (Mexico)
Mildred is a Professor at Universidad Autónoma de San Luis Potosí, México. She works on surface and supramolecular chemistry, focusing on carbon nanostructures, graphene, fullerene, and nanotubes, as well as the study of self-assembled materials, molecular recognition, and bionanomaterials. Her work also covers the synthesis and structural characterization of nanomaterials, in addition to clean energy development projects.
- Leticia Ribeiro de Paiva (Brazil)
Leticia is a Professor at UFSJ-Brazil, where she does research on Statistical and Biological Physics, in particular, complex behavioral patterns in termites. She is also part of the Parent in Science Movement.
Papers in Physics remains firmly committed to a community-driven, non-profit alternative to for-profit academic publishing.
